How to Create the Perfect Latte Art!

Latte Art in an Instant!

Do you want to create beautiful and impressive-looking coffee at home? Normally one may have to take up barista courses and learn the skills for a few years. Alternatively, you could also do it the easy way with Milkteanco stencils!
Simply watch the video and follow the guide below:

What You Need:

  • Hot Brewed Coffee or Tea
  • Milk
  • Milkteanco Coffee Stencils
  • Milk Frother
  • Whipped Cream (If you don’t have a Milk Frother)
  • Whisker (If you don't have a Milk Frother or Whipped Cream)
  • Small Colandar (Optional)
  • Flavoured Powder (I personally prefer Cocoa Powder!)

Step 1: Clean Your Stencils!
Gently wash your Milkteanco stencil with soap water.
Do NOT bend, twist, or fold your stencil as it might result in breakage or damage.
Pat dry with paper towel, avoid aggressive rubbing.

Step 2: Pour Your Brewed Coffee or Tea!
Brew your coffee or tea and pour into a coffee mug. When pouring liquid, leave at least one inch of space from the brim of the cup for the froth milk.

Step 3a: Froth Milk
Froth
milk, or apply whipped cream on top of your drink. If you do not have a milk frother or whipped cream, don't worry you don't need them, keep reading!

Step 3b: Make Froth Milk Without a Machine!
Heat up milk in microwave or on the stove, do not let it boil! Microwave the milk for 1 to 1.5 minutes. Pour hot milk into a glass or a cup that is wide enough for the whisker to fit. Then place the whisker in the cup of hot milk and hold it between your palms. Start the hand drilling motion until foamy. Or you could pour hot milk into a bowl and whisk vigorously until foamy.

Step 4: Application
Slowly pour the froth milk or steamed milk onto your drink. You need a smooth surface to create latte art, so get rid of any large bubbles by giving it a swirl or a few gentle taps.

Important! Leave at least half an inch from the brim of the cup for the stencil for the most ideal result.

Step 5: Stencilling
Gently place your Milkteanco stencil on top of your mug/cup. You can either hold the stencil or rest it on the rim of the coffee cup.

Important! For ideal result, your stencil should not touch your drink as it might make removing it more difficult and ruin the design.

Step 6: Voila!
Remove the stencil very slowly and voila--you've got a cup of homemade designer coffee ♡

Don't be discouraged if your first try with milkteanco stencil isn't perfect, it took us a couple of tries as well! It takes time and practice to get the right amount of powder to sprinkle, and how much coffee and milk to add. We hope you find this guide helpful and enjoy the process of making designer coffee!

Although we are not professional baristas, but if you have any questions, leave us a comment and we will try our best to help! :D
